The Sey Sisters presents their second album 'Rise' with which they invite us to join them on a meaningful musical journey, from gospel to African music, through soul, songs with deep emotion emerge from the fight against injustice, the defense of human rights and the hope in the future. 'Rise' was born from their need to express themselfs who they are: women born in Spain and black, with their anxieties, their fears and their strengths. It was born from the need to make visible a social sector that is rarely taken into account: the collective Afro-descendants of immigrants who, despite being born and raised in Spain, fight every day because their skin color does not determine who they are. Rise is a call to a personal revolution. It is a call to personal and collective acceptance. It is a call to visibility. |
