For some time now, Spanish jazz has appeared in the world, rather brave, daring and challenging. One of the new generation of musicians is Moses P. Sanchez, a jazz pianist. With Metamorphosis he shows that he's a composer who does not want to be classified under other parameters than those who define his music, influenced by Brad Mehldau, Keith Jarrett and Bill Evans, but also by someone like Tigran Hamasyan. Metamorphosis is a varied album with precision and lucidity and an increasingly personal and unmistakably autochthonous sound.
