LP RELEASE: NOVEMBER 19th, 2021!!! Uxila Exile ignites its campfire at the crossroad of European contemporary jazz, experimental rhythmic music and jazz traditions. Vibraphonist-composer Ilkka Uksila is accompanied in this musical exile by the virtuoso Tomi Nikku, the convincing Joonas Tuuri and the swinging Ville Luukkonen. The band's music is inspired by e.g. stories borrowed from films and literature, as well as its members? own observations. Compositions based on strong imagery are etherial but at the same time intact, mostly gentle interpretations of what the captured moments of the stories sound like.
