Mercedes Sosa: defined by many as the greatest Argentinean and South American singer of the 20th century. In this new project, Raffaele Casarano and Claudio Farinone decided to select some of the many songs that "La Negra" - as she was nicknamed - led to a worldwide success. They deprive them of the contents of the lyrics, bringing them back to the essentiality of music alone, with the smallest possible formation. The two musicians evoke the sound, without daring to imitate her voice but reinterpreting, upsetting, improvising, rearranging and playing with the dramatic and at the same time playful spirit of the work she interpreted. The rich palette of timbre that the two musicians are able to offer, also through the variety of instruments used, make this project unique, empathetic and involving.
