Charivari Trio - Melodias Del Silencio

South American and Eastern European music on Dutch soil seems an unusual combination, but it is the musical interests of the players along with the unique line-up of the trio that led to this mix. Geographical distances between continents play no role and, musically, a bridge was quickly built: in both Latinos and Gypsies, making music and dancing are interwoven with life. Not only weddings or seasonal parties, but also funerals, poverty and love crimes are sung and celebrated extensively. Dance and melancholy, the alternation between lust for life and emotion are the connecting factors.
