This album is the results of a musical partnership between singer/composer (and dramatist) Armando Nascimento Rosa and pianist/composer Ant?nio Neves da Silva. Within the concept of voice and piano, the project consists in a repertoire of original songs in different genres (from fado to jazz, from tango to bossa nova, from traditional afro-lusophone rythms to swing and music-hall sounds) with lyrics by the most universal of Portuguese poets: Fernando Pessoa (1888-1935), a multilingual giant of Modernism who wrote in Portuguese, English and French. Hence the songs on this album have lyrics in these three languages, and their variety of musical styles is rooted in the atmosphere, the meaning, and the form of the poems by Pessoa, selected by singer Nascimento Rosa who composes the songs, some of them with the collaboration of pianist Ant?nio Neves da Silva, who is the author of all the final musical arrangements for piano.
