La Reyna and La Real, two female black rappers are the latest flame in Cuban underground music scene. Yadira Pintado Lazcano (La Real) was born on February 3, 1986 in Havana, Cuba. At age 17 she graduated as a social worker and practiced this career for several years and at the same time she began in the world of rap, working with several neighbourhood rappers. Laura Napoles Martinez (La Reyna) was born on August 8, 1986 in Havana. After 12 years of study in conservatories, she began to work as a professional pianist in various musical groups. Then in 2012 La Reyna and La Real joined each other and created their band. " We joined to form as a Feminine movement to show to a world which is dominated by male rappers that women can also rap. Further it is a way to show and share our experiences in life through rapping."
