info

Contemporary and borderless. That?s Metropole quartet, presenting their first record. With only their own compositions and a lot of room for improvisation, their album shows they can groove and play classical pieces at once. Created by drummer and producer Thiago Rabello, Metropole is a reunion of four friends to play their own music, with himself, Z? Godoy (piano), Gabriel Santiago (acoustic and electric guitars) and Sidiel Vieira (bass).
Greatly driven by European Jazz, but also influenced by music from all over the world, Metropole has a Brazilian instrumental soul with a touch of so many other places the musicians have been and listened to in their careers. We can listen to beautiful harmonies and melodies from Minas Gerais (Brazilian state) to Sweden.
From ?Jogo de Sucess?es?, a well humoured groove by Sidiel Vieira, through ?What really counts? and ?Riverfront?, tunes originally written for an Orchestra and featuring Gabriel Santiago on vocals, to Z? Godoy?s almost classical pieces ?Tutu? and ?Primeiro dia de inverno?, we can notice the different influences of the four musicians converging into a unique sound.
