Classical and jazz met and cohabited in Riccardo's musical soul. In this dialogue-confrontation, in this loving cohabitation of classical and jazz - the unmistakable mark of the composer and performer - lies the first secret of the charm of Zegna's music, of his admirable touch, an interweaving of technical knowledge, rigour, creativity and an always high quota of sentiment. "Sentimental jazz' is the formula in which Riccardo's musical style could be summed up. Classic and jazz also love each other in this double album, the basis of which are two live recordings from twenty years ago that have remained unpublished until now: the first, edited by Maurizio Natoli, took place in April 2000 at the Teatro Chiabrera in Savona, during a concert presenting the album 'Piccolo Valzer'; the second, edited by Zegna himself, in the spring of 2002, during a piano solo concert by Riccardo in the Palazzo Taffini d'Acceglio in Savigliano.
