Because I Care is the title of the David Tixier Trio's new album, recorded in February 2020 just before the first March lockdown. It is in a social context of discord, disagreement, and a fragile economic and political climate that this album is set. The title of the album refers to the desire to understand, feel and internalise the external messages of the world around us. This is where Because I Care was born and where, within this tug of war, the will to not have to choose a side, but to make opinions cohabit, and to try to understand them, to care about the world ("to care") is born. This album, through 9 tracks in trio, including 3 with the guest of honour David Linx on vocals, takes snippets of ideas, beginnings, left free to each one's interpretation. He also pays tribute to the singer Neil Young, with a cover of the song Old Man.
