Massimo Morgnati has made arrangements of classical repertoires and has been involved in teaching activities concerning instrumental practice, ensemble music and arrangements. 'Momenti' can therefore be considered as a further stage in a tried and tested path of collaboration. A stage in which Massimo, once again, demonstrates his profound knowledge of the orchestra, his refined taste in reinterpreting some of the great themes of jazz music and its surroundings. In his writing one can detect a light density that is of Gil Evans and the need to be in the background while guiding the orchestral machine and thus leaving space for the soloists and the large orchestral group. A human prerogative before being a musical one.
