'Plaisir Moderne' by the Scratchophone Orchestra swings, grooves ... it communicates a formidable energy and a furious desire to move! The Scratchophone Orchestra came out of the meeting of four motivated musicians: Cl?ment Royo (programming, percussions, guitar), Aur?lien Mourocq (clarinet, vocals), Armand Delaval (electric double bass) and Gabriel Bonnin (violin, programming). A refined electro-swing where Aur?lien's pop-tinged voice skilfully blends with the vocal samples of legendary jazz singers, and where clarinet and violin mingle with the old sounds of the New Orleans orchestras of the 1930s. Mixing samples and vintage sounds in a more contemporary format with Hip-Hop and House accents, the band has paid particular attention to the balance between instrumental music and electronic production.
