For 17 years now, Skarbone 14 has been on stage all over the world, playing over 550 dates. Of the original line-up, they are still four: Sim (vocals), Jon (bass), Le Baron (sax) and Max (drums). Jef, the former Pouly and three trumpets, Max, Manu and Greg, now complete the band. An explosive mix of ska, rock, world music, punk and French chanson, the Skarbone 14 adventure was born in the spring of 2001. Quickly, the collective forges a name with explosive live concerts and by mouth to mouth promotion. With over 550 dates across Europe and Canada, the infernal Skarbone 14 machine is well oiled and pours a continuous flood of watts and sweat with each passage. The lyrics in French link between great and small stories "that push us to stand up, our outrages and our wishes that meet the great history of human rights and class struggles..." |
