Polen Records started to promote a new Latin-American sound, with the purpose of releasing music that didn?t seem to have a place in the market. The catalogue has been constructed with an artistic idea that seeks to maintain a line that reflects the pluri-cultural identity. Among the artist that have been part of this label you can find cult bands like Bajotierra and Sidestepper; the singer Ella Fuksbrauner; the mystic recordings of Mucho Indio, Bomba Estéreo?s dance flor hits, the pioneer of the tropical electronic Pernett; the sweet calypso of Sol Okarina, the avant-garde music of Cero 39, Mitu and their techno from Palenque and last but not least the beautiful melodies of Mónica Giraldo. Polen Records is regarded as a reference label for independent music in Latin-America, and this double CD is a compilation of the first 10 years!
