Nakany Kante presents her second album ?Naka?, featuring traditional Mandinga music and a solidary brand of Malinke pop. After her first surprising album ?Saramaya?, Nakany now also sings solo with guitar, and beside Guinean, she also sings in Spanish and includes Mediterranean sounds with the collaboration of Calima and Macaco. This new album and the energetic, charismatic live presentations in Madrid and Barcelona have received warm and enthusiastic feedback from media and audiences everywhere. Her lyrics continue to demonstrate her social awareness, describing some of her important and tragic personal experiences, referring to African popular proverbs, thinking about destiny, revenge, truth and lies, forgiveness and the temporary nature of life, protesting against gender inequality and abandonment of children.
