Wildbirds & Peacedrums is a Swedish duo, releasing their second album ?The Snake? originally in 2008. Recently, in 2015 Apple selected the song "There Is No Light" to soundtrack the launch of their new streaming service, giving a new impetus to their reputation. The album has a sinister, powerful sound, deriving largely from their desire to probe the darker sides of themselves and their world. The result is a complex, multifaceted album, its many faces linked by a common thread: the snake. Pitchfork: "Their equipment may be largely restricted to percussion, vocals, and the occasional embellishment of keyboard, but their ability to fully eclipse these limitations and create music with a strong improvisational pulse and so much vitality is a no small feat, and proves that they are continuing to experiment in magnificent, dynamic ways.?
