Les Tambours de Brazza combines tradition and modernity, mixing 'Ngoma' drums, drums, bass, guitar and other modern instruments with a remarkable naturalness. The rhythms of the ethnic groups of Congo and the influences of the resolutely modern drummers resonates in their music. There are the joys, the tears of the people, the rites of Africa. These drums speak to us, they sing to us, sending us back to the time when the great drum, ancestor of percussion, was the companion of a whole continent. As rhythm and body magicians they are certainly reviving African gestures and ancestral rites, but it would be wrong to think that they are traditional artists. The current music is very present in their work, with here and there a nod to rap or reggae, they offer a total and contemporary show and dedicate the drum as an instrument in its own right and defying time.
