Bangladesh is not only a land of rivers, it?s a land of song. Ancient songs, full of poetry and spiritual meaning can be heard everywhere. On request of Kishon Khan (Lokkhi Terra), dhol meastro and living legend Nazrul Islam put together a super group, to represent the traditional sounds of Bangladesh. Musicians include Jalal Ahmed (flute), Mokaddes Ali (dotora), Bappi (dupki, tablas), Biju (ektara). The singing is by a trio of singers: from Baul descent Rob Fakir, Labik Kamal Gaurob (representing the next generation and Dewan Beby Akhtar, folk singer. This allstar-band keeps alive the musical traditions of this musically diverse country.
