'Folkways' draws its musical and poetic inspiration from the world of American folk music and its characters, both imaginary and real, whose stories are told in memorable folk songs, blues and poems of the oral tradition. Original music and arrangements of traditional songs become a single composite story, characterised by the plurality of the musical language. Tradition is intertwined with the sound, alternating acoustic moments with electric sounds. The album features two protagonists of contemporary jazz, Fabrizio Sferra (drums) and Francesco Diodati (electric guitar).
