In 1995, Barbara Tartari and Claudio Farinone formed Tanguediaduo, inspired by the music of the Argentine composer and bandoneon player Astor Piazzolla. The joint album "Soledad" was recorded on the coast of Laggio Maggiore and portrays the fascinating acoustic effects of the museum that served as their recording location. After "Histoire du Tango" a unique suite for flute and guitar, the tango duo began their meticulous work on transcriptions and arrangements of a number of works composed by Piazzolla for various occasions - each time reimagined for their small instrumentation of flute and guitar. |
