Massimo Giuntini, a musician from Arezzo with a Celtic heart, and Silvio Trotta, a musician from Molise, from Capracotta, immersed in the folk sounds of the south, combine their passion for music in an original search for continuity between the multiple folds of the multifaceted world of folk. The vibrant sounds of Irish uilleann pipes combine with strings steeped in Italian tradition to structure a repertoire that testifies to the possibility of overcoming boundaries in a natural encounter between cultures. The CD also contains many tributes. The song "Nel giardino dei salici" was composed by Angelo Branduardi on a lyric by Irish poet William Butler Yeats. "Il cammino" was composed by Corrado Sfogli (Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare) before his death in March 2020. Breton percussionist David Hopi Hopkins is also a guest on the album. |
