info |
Lea Havelund has created a new poetic and virtuosic universe, where the voice warmly mixes with the cello. Her classical master's education, instinctive musicality, and good ear for all kinds of music make her an original composer and arranger. And the result is a sound that has not been heard before. She is in duet with the pianist Mads Sondergaard, who started his musical adventure at the legendary jazz bar Bent J in his hometown of Aarhus. In 1998 he moved to the Netherlands to study piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music in The Hague, where he graduated in 2003. He then moved to Copenhagen and began playing with numerous constellations with the city's jazz musicians. Mads is a versatile musician who moves within the genres of ragtime, stride, bebop, singer/songwriter, bossa, pop and everything in between. In addition to the piano, Mads also plays the Hammond organ and accordion. |
