An exciting and long-awaited album from Gaelic singer Mairi MacMillan. The album features beautifully traditional Gaelic songs mostly from South Uist with fresh contemporary arrangements. With a range of themes and genres including love songs, mythical songs, and waulking songs. Mairi MacMillan from Milton in South Uist was brought up surrounded by Gaelic language, culture, music, and song. The album was arranged and produced by the creative, skilled and talented musician Mhairi Hall. Mhairi Hall (harmonium, piano, flute, and whistle), Megan Henderson (fiddle and voice), Ali Hutton (bodhran, guitar, whistle, great highland bagpipes), Rachel Newton (clarsach, electric harp and voice).
