On this new album, the Fado singer Maja invites us to travel between Portugal and Bosnia and Herzegovina, interpreting original and traditional themes of the two musical genres: the Fado of Portugal and the Sevdalinka of the Balkans. As in her previous work, 'Fado ? Sorte' (SMCD 29), the new album 'Fadolinka' has original themes writen by the Fado singer. The history of the artist from Bosnia and Herzegovina who changed her path when she first heard Amalia Rodrigues. Recorded in Portugal, 'Fadolinka' has the participation of musicians Pedro Amendoeira and Lu?s Coelho (Portuguese guitar), Duarte Nunes and Bojan Dizdarevic (viola), and with the mastering of Fernando Nunes. This album is a tribute to the timeless values presented in a bouquet of two cultures and a gourmet record for the traditional music lovers of the world.
