With this album, a 'task force' consisting of two wind instruments, bass and drums, without a harmonic instrument, Maurizio Giammarco returns to his primordial passions, since in 1976 his debut group was precisely with a similar quartet (with Vittorini, Pietropaoli, Gatto). In recent times, Giammarco has fine-tuned some new compositions designed precisely for this type of formation, but, seizing the opportunity, he has also wanted to reintroduce some themes from that just-mentioned past that then remained in the drawer: themes that, although revised through today's sensitivity and expertise, remain emotionally and conceptually linked to that era.
