uKanDanz - Lantchi Biye / Ende Iyerusalem (7")

Taking its inspiration in traditional and popular Ethiopian songs, the music of uKanDanz is mainly characterized by the originality of its compositions and arrangements as well as by an extra-ordinary energy. The quartet explores Ethiopian rhythms and sonorities and delivers a powerful and subtle rock groove (odd rhythms, dissonances) sublimated by the virtuoso voice of Asnake Guebreyes. He is backed by a great band: Damien Cluzel on guitar, Benoit Lecomte on bass, Lionel Martin on tenor sax and Guilhem Meier on drums.
A true revival of stoner rock and punk in Ethiopian style.
