The Italian quartet Banditaliana, with its sunny mix of Tuscan traditional music, a whiff of jazz and Mediterranean songs, has been a welcome guest at festivals and stages in the international world music scene for years. And rightly so, because this ensemble around accordion virtuoso Riccardo Tesi distinguishes itself with its original compositions, rhythmic finds and subtle arrangements in which that Italy-feeling is never far away. Besides band leader Tesi guitarist and singer Maurizio Geri, saxophonist Claudio Carboni and percussionist Gigi Biolcati are part of Banditaliana. New album ?Maggio? presents traditional and own compositions, showing the best of Baditaliana.
