The tuba, a rare instrument in a jazz quartet, brings a great originality; both bassist and soloist, it is a nod to the brass bands, the Marching Band and the music of New Orleans. These compositions have been imagined and influenced by this singular instrumentation and by the strong musical personalities of this orchestra. They are an evocation of Italian cinema (Cinecitta), but also of the black music of Chicago (Eddie H), of a possible peace (Peace Overtures) or of a sudden exile (Migrants)...
