'Kaftan D'Alma' is the new album by Maja Milinkovic. Maja surprises again by mixing the Portuguese sound and her soul full of fado, with traditional Balkan themes. Maja has this ability to show that fado surpasses all physical barriers and conquers the world. Kafta or caftan is a tunic worn by men and women for thousands of years, usually made of silk, and Kafta D'Alma is just that, a delicate and harmonious disc that dresses our soul and transports us to a journey, which takes us to the typical streets of Alfama and then transport us to the medieval villages of the Balkan peninsula. From the carefully chosen themes, to the entire design of the album in shades of black and gold, 'Kaftan D'Alma' conveys elegance, harmony and power.
