Susanna is a cellist and singer-songwriter who graduated from the Sibelius Academy of Music in 2017. She works as a freelancer in various chamber music ensembles, as a theatre musician, cello teacher, orchestra musician and in light music ensembles playing and singing. Her most personal project at the moment is this album. The compositions on the album cross the boundaries between folk, jazz, pop, songwriting and world music. The instruments of the personal ensemble - double bass, two violins, piano and vocals - support the Finnish lyrics in a soft and floating weave. The lyrics of the songs are touching, entertaining in their self-mockery and transport the listener from everyday topics to Finnish folktales.
