This debut album by Louise Stojber and Martin Rauff clearly goes in the direction of American folk, even though the instrumentation is somewhat unusual. The voices of Louise St?jberg and Martin Rauff harmonize very well although both voices are rather rough and clear. Together they make a very nice sound. Almost only accompanied by acoustic guitar, whereby different playing techniques are used. The music also bears a slight resemblance to Alternative Country, as we know it from Steve Earle or Earle & Colvin. Louise St?jberg and Martin Rauff prove to be excellent composers who can also present their music convincingly.
