The Mallorcan maestro Ruben Andreu, now releasing his solo piano album 'So Lucky', is also a long-time collaborator with other well-known performers and composers, including Woody Shaw, David Shnitter, Americo Belloto, Paul Stoker, Sean Levitt and Connie Phillips, to name a few. He began piano lessons at the age of 7 at the "Real Conservatorio Superior" in Palma de Mallorca, finishing his studies there. At the age of 15 he came with his "Jazz debut"...with the formation of the quartet "Aguamarina" together with the great guitarist Manuel Bolao ("sideman" of Tete Montoliu among others), Quique Villafa?e and Victor Merlo, performing for a year at the "Mitico" jazz club/Piano bar "Villa Rio".
