Composed of long-time companions, all of them virtuosos on their instruments but above all musicians with that rare gift of knowing what it is to melt into a collective in order to shape an authentic "group sound" (Regis Huby, intense, precise, constantly "singing"; Remi Charmasson, all ellipses and sound projections; Christophe Marguet, pulsating, colourist; Daniel Erdmann, a tenor with a powerful sound, as much at ease with tradition as totally inventive) Ways Out embraces in its compositional project a taste for "moving" forms, an attention to timbre that resolutely plays the hybrid card by mixing acoustic and electric sounds and a rhythmic tension at all times, borrowing its energies and grooves as much from modern jazz as from rock.
