Maria Petras's singing bring us the message of the Moldavian Hungarians who have faced a difficult fate for centuries. Maria's home village, Dioszen, is a Moldavian Csango-Hungarian settlement on the opposite bank of the river Szeret. It was here that she lived her childhood, a difficult and sometimes painful, yet happy world, full of the comforting experience of communal singing and prayers. Mary, faith, God, everything is in it: goodness, purity, beauty, life itself. The album is the sincere confession of faith of Mary Petras about a world in which the saints were the security of the soul.
