"Delashena" ("Familiar in the Heart") of the Iranian duo Shadi Fathi and Bijan Chemirani is a journey to the borders of Persian music, as well listening to the past as to our time. Granting each other total freedom, they create together a conversation based as much on the Persian classical repertoire as on their own journey, alternating improvisations, personal compositions and traditional themes. The different lutes played by Shadi and Bijan's percussion allow us to obtain an immense palette of timbres and dynamics, alternating free sequences and more rhythmic sequences that can approach a certain form of trance.
