Erguner, Kudsi - La Melancolie Royale

Kudsi Erguner is the only Ottoman art musician of his generation to have received direct instruction from his father, in keeping with oral tradition. He has attended meetings of several Sufi brotherhoods and followed both their spiritual and musical teachings. Kudsi Erguner had the opportunity to rub shoulders with the musical greats from the older generation and used his time with them to immerse himself in an authentic style reflecting centuries of musical tradition that he keeps alive today.
