Take two Breton brothers who played Brittany?s traditional bagpipes and bombard until they met the Arfi Collective (association for the research of an imaginary folklore) ? an encounter that led them towards other music styles as well as improvisation. Add another Breton, a baritone saxophone player (who also plays the bombard!) with a long practice of brass and street bands, who has developed a big Serge-Chaloff-like sound as well as an impressive energy and sense of rhythm, honed with time. Top it off with a genius drummer of contagious youthfulness, curious of everything. And there you have it: Niou Bardophones! Released in 2013, now also available here.
