Kato Apo to Dentro (?under the tree?) is a collaboration between several musicians and friends, based in Athens, Greece. The band was formed in 2007, from members of the world-electro band "Palyrria" and the dub-reggae band "Direct Connection", who joined their musical skills and enthusiasm in order to explore the connection of world musics using pentatonic scales as a basic element. Blues, Pentatonic, Greek traditional melodies and world rhythms, meet unexpectedly through guitars, bass, mandolin, melodica, bagpipe, clarinet, kaval and percussion, creating a contemporary hybrid they call ?World R ?n? B? (World Roots 'n' Blues).
