'Ba'n Dans' is the latest project by the Breton band Kreiz Breizh Akademi. The title comes from the traditional Breton call to the dancers "toud 'n dud ba'n dans". This is the 8th creation by the collective, including 9 instrumentalists and 2 singers. For the first time they have chosen a dance music repertoire; from the Center of Britanny, the south of Pays Gallo and thanks to the presence of 3 musiciens from the Occitan region they have elaborated a suite of bourees from the Massif Central. As with the Breton themes they remain true to ancient and modern traditions both modal and rythmic.
