Fabri Geza is a singer-musician born in Vojvodina (Hungarian part in Serbia), and is one of the main figures of the southern dance house movement. Tambura, oud and koboz are his main instruments. He has been an authentic interpreter of Csango Hungarian music for forty years now. Szokolay Dongo Balazs is one of the busiest middle-generation musicians in Hungarian folk and world music. It?s almost unlistable in how many bands he played, as a founder, member, or guest musician. On this album they play Moldavian Csango music in the duo's very mature, individual tone. The sound of the koboz, bagpipes, soprano saxophone and countless flutes, and the vocals of Fabri Geza, sounds with a temperature and intelligence that does not allow the listener to loose attention. |
