Miklos Lukacs, the unavoidable figure of Hungarian contemporary music and jazz, takes the listener on his first solo album to ethereal landscapes. In terms of performance and sound, the new album goes beyond the horizon of the author's previous works, with experimental ambient jazz as one of its main inspirations. The album is also the first solo cimbalom album in the world to feature only and exclusively electronic musical elements that use the cimbalom as an instrument, including sampling and effects. The instrumental pieces create a unique yet unified sound, drawing from the universes of world music, free jazz, ambient, noise, and contemporary experimental electronic and acoustic music. |
