Ivan Della Mea was a poet, singer, intellectual and writer, one of the most original on the Italian cultural scene. Ivan influenced his time and generously sacrificed political commitment to the recognition of his talent. On the tenth anniversary of his death Alessio Lega has dedicated an extensive biography to him. One of the aims of the biography was to emphasise how Ivan Della Mea was a great artist, and as is the case for every author, his work deserves constant critical intervention and musical reinterpretation.
