The trio Imosima, puts its sense of swing, and its sensitivity at the service of Breton, Irish and Quebecois music for almost 10 years. Audrey le Jossec is one of the most renowned accordionists of her generation. Her irreproachable technique and her knowledge of the Quebec style have made her a reference in this field over the last years. "Imosima" meaning "That's the way it is" in Breton phonetics, because Imosima's music sounds obvious. Whether it is when they interpret the old melodies of central Brittany, the reels of Quebec or the ballads of Ireland, the audience is struck by the homogeneity of the style. No matter what Imosima plays, no matter the context (for the dance, for the concert, in the cabaret), Audrey's exacerbated sensitivity, her symbiosis with her accompanists inevitably seduces. This record presents an overview of the vast repertoire of the group but also a different approach from the one undertaken on stage. |
