Eternal Love is the debut album of the Turkish Simdi Ensemble. They perform sufi music of anonymous origin as well as own compositions. Simdi is dedicated to performing mystic music with a new understanding while following the centuries old tradition in Anatolia. Founded by singer and composer Bora Uymaz it features ney player Yavuz Akalin, kemen?e player Mehmet Yalgin from Izmir, Hasan Kiris, the young and talented tanbur player from Osmaniye (near Adana), Volkan Ergen, percussionist and Sirin Pancaroglu on harp. Guest musician on this album is the well known French tuba and serpent player Michel Godard. |
