Songs from Bearn and Gascogne, sung a cappella by Pascale Audiau, Sonia Baklouti-Roisin, Genevi?ve Laulh?re-Cl?ment and Claire Marquet-Bruneau . This double CD was recorded live in the small village churches of Araujuzon, Montestrucq and l?H?pital d?Orion, B?arn region ?in rural silence with the occasional storm, benches scraping or people moving about outside and inside? in short, the presence of an audience. The intimate atmosphere of these small churches prompts people to be quiet and really listen. CD1 is devoted to the show ?Encontre? and the concert, while CD2 presents our exchanges with traditional B?arn singers. Sharing our common repertoire was a real treat. While in the B?arn region La Novem might come as a surprise because of our way of revisiting songs, our contemporary musical variations and our metal taps, traditional singers have surprised us with their diversity of styles, interpretations, tone colours and vocal energy.
