Saxophonist Heikki "Hepa" Halme's band Halme Prospekt releases a new album 'Prospektagon', fifth long-playing album. Halme, who has been one of the leading lights of Finnish jazz for decades, still has a sharp sound and top-notch swing. The album also features important guest appearances: a recitation by Hannu Salama as well as the latest recorded tunes by the late trumpeter Matti Riikon. The album was made during an intense 24-hour playing session. The result is a representative example of the musicianship of its creators and the collaboration that has become increasingly natural over the years at Halme Prospekt. It also pays due tribute to the memory of Matti Riikonen - to whom the album is dedicated - and his contribution throughout the band's history as an essential part of the Halme Prospekt sound.
