Bass player Tatu Back and band, known from Erja Lyytinen's band, are strongly following in the footsteps of their role model Pekka Pohjola and the soundscapes of the blues-influenced jazz-rock with their debut album. Two tracks feature Jarkka Rissanen. Tatu & Tutkimusmatkailijat is a band that explores the world of progressive and psychedelic rock through instrumental jazz-rock. The core of the band consists of bassist Tatu Back, guitarist Markus Venehsalo and drummer Jaakko Poyhonen. For this project they invited their friends Jarkka Rissanen on slide guitar, Harri Taittonen an hammond & keyboards and Marko Salmela on percussion.
