Mirja Makela Trio - So Far, So Me

The Mirja Makela Trio, founded in autumn 2006, performs mainly Makela's own compositions to Finnish poems. The ensemble, which has released two albums before this one, also includes familiar lyrics, wordless singing and English. The trio is known for its intimate and intense performance, with moods ranging from the most delicate to the most exuberant improvisation. The trio has been praised for its personal and fresh compositions, interesting arrangements and immediate and captivating atmosphere.
