Conducting the double bass in contemporary electro-acoustic contexts, Merakhaazan presents a personal view of the string music recital. The listener is immediately transported in a melodic universe stunning of complexity. The concept of Merakhaazan is a solo project based on the double bass and the sound diversity. It is also a technical performance, which transforms the instrument into a sound generator. The double bass thus amplified is relayed by a system of loops, and "multiplies" in search of a new musical dimension. With the help of real-time (auto) sampling and the use of extensive instrumental play - from the classic bow technique to the prepared strings - its eclectic sound mixture draws from styles and cultures: hypnotic avant-rock, electro-orientalism, ethnic pulsations, electronic textures, soundtracks, baroque ornamentation, orchestral composition and noisy trance ?
