Slow Moving Clouds are a Dublin-based post-folk band. Their music is an organic mix of the Irish and Nordic folk traditions with baroque strings and post-rock influences. On 'Starfall' (SMC 3), the band's second album, their folk roots merged with indie and experimental influences, expanding the sonic palette and power of their earlier work. This work built on their critically acclaimed 2015 debut album, 'Os' (SMC 1), which drew comparisons to Icelandic post-rock legends Sigur Ros and Irish traditional supergroup The Gloaming. 'Os' was hailed as 'rich, intriguing and accomplished? Jim Carroll (The Irish Times); and 'emotive, euphoric and unique music? Steve Hunt (fRoots). |
